Well, rice cakes at least. We've decided to start working on finger foods with the triplets, and today was rice cake day. They enjoyed it immensely, and they all figured out that they were supposed to pick up the rice cake, and put it in their mouths. The dogs circled underneath them for the chance to finish off anything the kids didn't finish. I think Sophie and Sabine are about to enter the best stage of their canine lives...

I didn't think about giving them rice cakes. Yum! Did they bite off big pieces or did it generally melt in their mouth? I get paranoid about the girls choking.
They sort of sucked it to death. Very small pieces of it would break off and stick to their mouths, their lips, their fingers, their shirt, etc. I don't think they know about biting off pieces, or perhaps it is something that requires more teeth :)
Give it a try, but be sure to have a few dogs on hand to clean up what they drop...
