End of the Blog

I've decided to try to wrap up this blog when the kids turn 5, this August. I've found that I'm posting on Facebook the most current photos and cute things the kids have been doing, instead of posting here. So I will try to catch this blog up (Jan-August) in order to have a complete record of their first five years, and then call it quits. Thanks for following our adventures for so long.

First Snowman

We finally had a decent snowfall!
In fact, with the amount of snow we had, and the age of the kids, they were finally able to make a snowman by themselves (except for stacking the balls...)

Random Photos

Every now and then I plug my dad's camera, or Erin's phone into my computer to download photos they've taken of the kids. And sometimes, I haven't a clue what I'm looking at. From these photos, I can only assume that they were on a wild boar hunt.

Chocolate Party

Today we went to my school's "Chocolate Party," where among other activities, the kids picked out costumes to dress up in for a photo shoot. We had tons of fun, and everyone got brownies to eat as a snack.

Weather Balloon Launch

We took the kids out late at night to see a weather balloon launch in Blacksburg. It was amazing to see how high up we could still see the balloon!

The kids love their new Egyptian playmobil set, and also love the "Inclined Plane" song from Sid the Science Kid.

Art Museum Visit

We took the kids to their first art museum, in Richmond. They enjoyed looking at some examples of modern art.
We then took them to the visiting Egypt exhibit, where they watched a 3D film about mummies.

Sledding

Finally, we had enough snow to actually go sledding.
And Betty, of course, loves to eat fresh snow!

Buffalo Mountain

We took the kids on a hike up to the top of Buffalo Mountain in Floyd.
We had a lot of fun getting to the top, but boy it was windy up there!
After none of them actually blew off the mountain, we then had a nice picnic lunch.

A Light Snow

The triplets left their marks after a light snowfall this morning.
