Happy Halloween!

We drove up to Maryland to trick-or-treat with the triplets' cousins. With Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet, and a ghost, it looked like the kids were a haunted version of the Hundred Acre Woods.

The kids got so much candy that we had to help them carry their buckets home. Afterwards, they got to choose the five pieces that they were going to keep.

DC Rally

We went to the Rally to Restore Sanity in DC today with Aunt Heather and the cousins. The train was amazingly crowded, but the kids did surprisingly well.

After looking at all the crazy people in costumes, and trying to hear bits of the rally itself, eventually we all got tired and headed home.

Crawfish Hunting

We caught another crawfish in the creek today. We're not quite sure how they manage to live there, as there is rarely water in the creek bed.

Carving Pumpkins

Everyone loved carving pumpkins today.

Each of the kids drew their own designs on the pumpkins, which I cut out for them. We think they look great!

Workbooks

Aunt Allison came for a visit, and helped the kids practice in their workbooks. Coraline does especially well staying in the lines while she colors.

The Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch today. They had visited it earlier in the week on a class field trip, but they were upset that they didn't get to see and do everything there.

Arthur especially loved jumping off of the giant hay pile.

Apple-Picking

The kids loved running around the apple orchard today.

Arthur helped find tiny apples for Betty and Coraline, and soon everyone was taking breaks to munch on crunchy apples.

We caught Arthur signing this song - he learned it from a Johnny Appleseed cartoon!
