Coloring

Arthur has always been a rushed colorer. Coraline has been the one who works diligently for half an hour to color carefully in the lines. But ever since we pulled out a giant-sized Superman-themed coloring book, Arthur has had the motivation to carefully stay within the lines, and use appropriate colors. He does one of these pages every morning now.

A Winter Hike

We always have such alternating winter weather in Virginia. While we had snowstorms last week, today was warm enough to go for a hike and a picnic with Grandma and Grandpa.

The Triplet Band

We hope to have our recording contract finalized by the end of the year. Currently they are working on the single "Jingle Bells."

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Arthur (and his sisters) fell in love with the 1964 Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer show. Though it's been weeks since we've seen it, it is still on his mind, as he decided today to paint portraits of all the main characters in it.

Here's Santa Claus. I'm not sure why he has sharp teeth. And every time Arthur draws Santa, he fills his bag with the things Arthur likes - namely candy, and an axe.

Arthur said this portrait is an elf. Probably Hermey, the one who wanted to be a dentist.

Here's the Abominable Snowman.

And here's Yukon Cornelius (who Arthur calls "Crouton," and impersonates his "Wahooo!" cry). It's a little hard to see, but he's the big figure with 3 large buttons on his chest, and you can see on the left his pick-axe. The sled with a dog is in brown at the bottom.

Story Time

At story time tonight, Arthur pulled out a book about superheroes. You can sort of follow the story, but Betty insisted on reading her book at the same time.
