Game Night!

The kids have really started enjoying playing games. Besides working on more difficult puzzles, we're working on learning how to play matching and memory games!

In other news, in the past few weeks Arthur got in two of his last two-year molars. All that's left is his top right one.

My Lellow Flolow

Nana put a few miniature daffodils in a vase, and Coraline decided it was hers. She's carried it around the house all day, and even took it up with her at naptime (she put it next to her bed). We're still working on getting her to say "Flower" instead of "Flolow."

Then in the afternoon, we got out a new limbo game, and the girls showed us how crabs walk.

Aunt Em and Uncle Eric Visit

Aunt Emily and Uncle Eric stopped by for a few hours, a brief stop over on their move to DC. Hopefully we'll be able to spend some time with them in DC while they are in our area for a few months.

We thought Coraline looked cute posing with her bear and her chocolate chip cookie.

Free Ice Cream Day

Today after a shopping trip, we took everyone to Ben & Jerry's for Free Ice Cream Day! Arthur and Betty had chocolate, and Coraline had strawberry.

Can't Catch Me!

Coraline finally figured out the meaning to the gingerbread song. Evidently the people couldn't catch him because he was driving a convertible...

A Spring Day

The kids are loving the warmer weather that we're having. Coraline points out the new spring flowers.

New Toys

We saw an ad on Craigslist for a daycare that was going out of business, so we spent yesterday picking out and buying a couple carloads of furniture, toys, and art supplies. The kids are having lots of fun now with their new toys!

Our Dolls

These are Arthur's dollies. When the kids were babies, Aunt Heather made three dollies for each of the kids. Two pink ones, and one white one, each with their initial monogramed on it. Coraline and Betty never quite became attached to it, but Arthur has loved them since day one, and adopted all three as his own. At night he sleeps with two of them in his bed, and uses the third at Nana and Pop Pop's house for nap time.

This is Coraline's little bear, and little dog. Little bear actually used to belong to Aunt Emily when she was a kid. Though Coraline is slowly growing apart from these two dolls, there was many a time we had to tear apart the house looking for them, so that Coraline could sleep with her little bear.

This is Betty's mousey. She carries him with her everywhere, and sleeps with him every night. We try to keep him white, so we've started encouraging Betty to put him someplace safe when she eats meals, or when she goes outside. But often at the end of the day, mousey needs a bath.

3 Tired Kids

After racing up and down the driveway for dozens of times, the kids plopped down onto the ground, exhausted.

Arthur's Branch

On a walk up the hill today, Arthur decided that he wanted to bring home a giant branch. So with a little help from Betty, he managed to drag this giant branch all the way back to Nana and Pop Pop's house.

Baa Baa Black Sheep

The kids have learned tons of songs at daycare, and every day seem to sing a new one. This is one of Coraline's current favorites, and we love the new line "One for the dame, one for the mother..."
